Foxies Turn Positional Competition into Winning Teamwork

Farm Fresh is turning positional competition into cooperation as Mylene Paat-Rezanova and Trisha Tubu contribute within the Foxies’ opposite rotation. Their partnership helped fuel Thursday’s five-set comeback over Choco Mucho while highlighting growing trust between Farm Fresh’s veterans and younger players.

Paat-Rezanova and Tubu Embrace Shared Farm Fresh Role

Lance D. Agcaoili of the Philippine Daily Inquirer highlighted how Farm Fresh’s opposite hitters are embracing shared responsibilities during PVL Siklab. The all-to-play format has provided Paat-Rezanova and Tubu meaningful opportunities while both contribute from the same position within the rotation.

Paat-Rezanova has provided veteran production and guidance, while Tubu continues developing within Farm Fresh’s changing combinations during the competition. Veteran Stresses Support Within Foxies Rotation

Paat-Rezanova explained that Farm Fresh’s rotation works when players remain prepared to support teammates receiving opportunities on the court.

“I think my mindset is that we should always support one another. Whomever coach puts on the court, we have to support each other,” Paat-Rezanova said in Filipino. “If someone is hurting or dealing with [injury], someone else has to be ready to step up. I’m really thankful that Tubu stepped up.”

Her comments followed a match where both opposite hitters contributed significantly during Farm Fresh’s comeback victory against previously unbeaten Choco Mucho.

Farm Fresh Completes Five-Set Comeback Over Choco Mucho

Farm Fresh erased a two-set deficit and defeated Choco Mucho, 20-25, 26-28, 25-23, 25-23, 15-13, Thursday at the Mall of Asia Arena. The Foxies captured three consecutive sets after dropping the opening two frames, completing their comeback during a closely contested decider.

Tubu Scores Seven Points in Deciding Set

Tubu scored seven of her 14 total points during the deciding fifth set as Farm Fresh completed its reverse sweep. Paat-Rezanova Earns Player of the Game Honors

Paat-Rezanova earned Player of the Game recognition after scoring 15 points while contributing primarily from a relief role against Choco Mucho. Her performance accompanied Tubu’s 14-point effort as Farm Fresh received significant production from both players sharing the opposite position.

Tubu later identified Paat-Rezanova as an important mentor during her continued development with the Foxies throughout their time together. She also credited Ara Galang for providing guidance about movement and other responsibilities during conversations away from formal coaching instruction.

Tubu Credits Veteran Mentorship for Development

Tubu described Paat-Rezanova’s mentorship as an important influence while explaining how the veteran and Galang continue guiding her development.

“As I always say in interviews, I am where I am today because of [Paat-Rezanova]. She’s really been my mentor on the team,” Tubu said. “In fact, I spend more time talking to her than I do with coach. She and [Galang] help me and guide me on how to move on the court.”
